Reprint Out-of-Print Books
What are Out-of-Print Books?
It is fairly common for published books to go Out-of-Print at some point. After a period of time, published books loose their popularity and sales wane. Once a publisher determines that it is no longer profitable to produce and list a book, the book is delisted. At this point copyright ownership is either retained by the publisher or it passes to the author. If the author obtains ownership of their book, they may choose to have it reprinted and/or republished. If the publisher retains ownership, it is possible for the author to request that they either be able to obtain ownership or that they can request permission from the publisher to reprint the book. Additionally it is possible for 3rd parties, such as educational institutions to request permission to reprint books.
The Zip Book Factory has decades of experience with reprinting Out-of-Print books. We are able to obtain permission to reprint from publishers, or to reprint and republish books for authors or other copyright owners.
